Your voice companion for the desk. Tap the eyes or say “hai robo”, then just ask.

Getting started Talk & ask Weather Timers & alarms Calendar & reminders Memory Expenses Saved places & cabs Food orders Translate Image generation Screen-aware (Mac) Focus guard Pet mode Robot & controls Data & privacy

1 · Getting started

First launch walks you through sign-in and a quick setup. After that:

  • Sign in with Apple or Google — required to use the AI (chat, search, vision, translate). Your places/orders/memory sync to your account.
  • Talk: tap the eyes once, wait for the chirp, then speak. Tap again or pause to send.
  • Hands-free: say hai robo to wake it (when always-listening is on). Wake-word detection runs on your device.
  • Settings: long-press anywhere on the screen to open the panel.

VoiceOver users: the face is a button — double-tap to talk; use the Actions rotor → “Open settings”.

2 · Talk & ask anything

Ask questions, get short spoken answers. Examples:

“tell me a joke”“what’s the capital of Japan”“explain photosynthesis simply”

Real-time / web answers

For live info it searches the web automatically:

“who won the match today”“latest news on …”“weather tomorrow”

Screenshot: a question + spoken reply on screen

3 · Weather

Local or named-place forecast (Apple WeatherKit).

“what’s the weather”“weather at home”“will it rain tomorrow”

4 · Timers, alarms & stopwatch

  • set a timer for 5 minutes
  • set an alarm for 7 am
  • start the stopwatch / stop the stopwatch
Screenshot: running timer / stopwatch badge

5 · Calendar & reminders

Reads your calendar and creates reminders (asks permission first).

  • what’s my next meeting
  • remind me to call mom at 6 pm

6 · Memory

Tell it facts to remember; it personalises future replies.

“remember my name is Bharath”“remember I’m vegetarian”“what do you remember about me”

Memory is stored on your device. Turn on Settings → Account & sync → Sync memory to back it up to your account across devices.

7 · Expense tracking

Log spends by voice; ask for totals. Export anytime.

  • I spent 250 on lunch
  • how much did I spend this week

Export: Settings → Your data → Data & privacy → Export expenses (CSV).

8 · Saved places & cab booking

Save a place

  1. Long-press → Settings → Your data → Saved places.
  2. Type a name (e.g. home, office) and an address — pick a suggestion from the dropdown.

Use it

  • book a cab home
  • uber from office to home
  • compare cab prices to the airport

9 · Saved food orders most detailed

Re-order food/groceries by voice. None of these apps (Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, BigBasket) let outside apps fill a cart directly, so Hai Robo saves a link to your order (or a shopping list) and opens it in the app — you just tap Checkout. Two modes:

Mode A — Save an order link (best for “repeat my usual”)

  1. Open the food app (e.g. Blinkit) and build the cart you want, OR open a past order / “share cart” screen.
  2. Get the link. Tap the app’s Share button (or copy the URL from the order page). Copy it. This is a “universal link” that re-opens that exact cart/order.
  3. Food app Share button
  4. In the share sheet, tap Copy.
  5. Copy the order link from the share sheet
  6. In Hai Robo, long-press → Settings → Your data → Saved orders.
  7. Name it (e.g. weekly, pizza).
  8. Pick the app in the segmented control (Swiggy / Zomato / Blinkit / BigBasket).
  9. Paste the link into “Paste past-order link”.
  10. Tap Save URL order.
  11. Screenshot: Saved orders — Name + App picker + pasted link + Save
  12. Use it: say order weekly → Hai Robo opens that link in the app → tap Checkout.
Tip: if two saved orders share a name on different apps, say the app too — order groceries on blinkit.

Mode B — Build a shopping list (cycles item-by-item)

No link needed. Hai Robo opens each item in the app’s search, one at a time.

  1. Settings → Saved orders → set a Name + pick the app.
  2. Under “OR build a shopping list”, type an item + quantity → tap +. Repeat for each item.
  3. Tap Save list.
  4. Screenshot: shopping-list editor with milk ×2, bread ×1…
  5. Use it: say order weekly groceries. Hai Robo shows “1× milk”, opens the app’s search for it → you tap Add, swipe back → the next item opens automatically, and so on through the list.
BigBasket’s search opens in Safari (its links aren’t in-app); for full in-app cycling save the list with Blinkit as the app.

In Saved orders: tap the pencil on a list to re-open it in the editor; tap the trash to delete. You can also say add eggs to weekly.

10 · Translate, subtitles & interpreter

One-shot translate

translate from hindi → it says “go ahead”, you speak, it replies in English.

Live subtitles

subtitle mode → continuous Hindi→English captions on screen (great for meetings/TV). Tap Stop to end.

Two-way interpreter

interpreter mode → speak English or Hindi; it translates each turn aloud the other way. Tap Stop to end.

Screenshot: live subtitle / interpreter overlay

11 · Image generation

Make a picture from words; it appears full-screen.

“show me an image of a cat astronaut”“generate a picture of a sunset beach”“provide me an image of a robot”

Screenshot: generated image full-screen

12 · Screen-aware help (optional Mac companion)

Pair the Hai Robo Mac app, then ask about what’s on your Mac screen.

  1. Settings → Connections → Mac companion → Scan Mac QR code (open the Mac app to show the code).
  2. Ask: what’s wrong on my screen · improve this design.
The first screen request triggers a one-time “find devices on your local network” prompt — that’s expected.

13 · Focus & distraction guard

A Pomodoro focus timer that can shield distracting apps during a session (Screen Time).

  • Settings → Assistant → Focus & distraction guard — set durations, pick apps to shield.
  • Start a focus session; Hai Robo nudges you if you drift, praises you when you return.

14 · Pet mode

When idle, the dock acts alive — cute sounds, glances around, bobs its head.

Toggle in Settings → Assistant → Pet mode.

15 · Robot dock & controls optional hardware

Everything above works on the phone alone. With the Hai Robo dock it physically turns to face you.

  • Pair: Settings → Connections → Pair Deskmate → Scan → tap your unit.
  • Manual control: Settings → Robot controls → Manual control (pan / tilt / lift).
  • Hardware actions: auto-level, calibrate, emergency stop.
Screenshot: manual control pad

16 · Your data & account

  • Export / delete your places, orders, expenses: Settings → Your data → Data & privacy.
  • Sign out / delete account: Settings → Account & sync → Account.
  • Wake-word audio & face tracking are processed on your device and never uploaded.
  • Full policy: Privacy Policy.
